They say that happiness is based on enjoying the small moments—those encounters that give us joy, light, and meaning without making a fuss. In an increasingly fast-paced and ever-changing world, such moments are rare. That's why, when they occur, they are received as gifts.
A few weeks ago, we experienced one of those gifts when we reunited with former residents to celebrate the residence's 50th anniversary. And it was exactly that: a meaningful reunion. Shared memories. Stories spanning generations that, for a moment, made time seem to stand still.
We reunited with people who, at different stages of our lives, lived within the walls of La Salle Bonanova. We shared hugs, laughter, jokes from bygone days, and confidences that still resonate. We walked through the halls that saw us grow, search, doubt, and build once again.
The reunion was emotional, intimate, and genuine. Our only goal was to reunite and celebrate life. Beyond nostalgia or speeches, we were brought together by something simple yet powerful: the knowledge that we experienced something transformative here. This residence was much more than a building for a time; it was home. It was a meeting point for those who arrived eager to start something new and those who left with backpacks full of experiences, friendships, and lessons learned. Together, we navigated the uncertainty of moving into adulthood.
Bonds that endure to this day have been forged here. Concerns that have shaped our paths have been ignited. Values have been established that accompany us wherever we go: respect, responsibility, commitment, and coexistence. Nothing extraordinary, but deeply necessary. For many, it has probably been our compass throughout all these years.
Thank you to those who came to celebrate, remember, and reconnect. Thank you to those who brought light, memory, and presence.
We hope to continue having encounters like this one. Sometimes, going back or stopping is also a way to move forward.
